Rotary Dial IndexersThe design of the rotary indexer utilizes a large center bearing which rigidly supports the center tooling plate that is doweled and bolted to the primary indexer base. The design also includes a positive lock that maintains position during the dwell part of the cycle.
The center tooling plate is ideal for mounting vibratory feeders, RAM Pick'N'Place parts transfer units, drill presses, escapements, etc. Combined with the outer tooling plate, maximum accessibility to the various workstations is achieved. Driven indexing surfaces are made of hardened steel and driven by a hardened roller bearing.
All rotating parts have either sealed bearings or grease fittings. A unique type of roll cam employed in the indexer design assures smooth acceleration and deceleration during each index. High accuracy is maintained in the indexed position with tolerances to plus or minus .001 inches (.025 mm) on a 12 inch (30.48 cm) circle.
Our 12 stop and 24 stop indexer R15.5 or R27 are standard. We can offer an 8 or 10 stop in an R15.5 base or R276 base but the center hub will be smaller in diameter.
