Automated Precise Part Transfer and Placement

The center fixed portion of the Automated Assembly System support structure is used to mount individual pick'n'place units. These units are mechanically synchronized and powered by the central drive system through a gear connection with the main indexer drive.

Each pick'n'place unit is cam actuated and provides two axis of motion, one vertical up and down and one horizontal in and out. The motion created by this device is smooth, accurate, repeatable, and is immune to fluctuations in supply power. These units are well suited for automatic loading or unloading of parts in an assembly or other production and inspections operations. Custom end of arm tooling can be easily adapted to these units.

All motion is mechanically immune to fluctuations in supply power that can cause erratic performance such as vibration, misalignment, jamming, etc.

The standard model has a reach of 2-1/2 inches and a vertical lift of 1-1/4 inches. Other reach and lift limits are available upon request. The angled front flanges permit mounting sensors and other accessory devices.
